Lessons learnt so far

Lessson 1:
"Learn to write your hurts in sand..
If you write your hurts in the sand..
It will be gone when the wind blows.."

she has learnt not to write her hurts in sand..
for as she carefully penned down those hurts..
using a sharp-ended twig with gentle force..
a blast of sand hits her face and blinds her..
it was just a helpful gesture from a gust of wind..

Lesson 2:
"Learn to carve your blessings in stone..
If you carve your blessings in stone..
It will stay there forever.."

she has learnt not to carve her blessings in stone..
for as she carved all her happiness on rock..
focusing all her strength with a chisel and hammer..
her determination allowed life to slowly slip away..
and there were no longer joys in life to smile about..

Broken wing

a road.. a step.. a move..
a rock.. a stone.. a moss..
a rule.. a stigma.. a mess..

kindred spirits revolved..
deciding to finally resolve..
offering some help to the nude..

the burning showdown glare..
the use of some magical prayer..
listening to some hindi chants..

repair these wings..
tear off these ugly feathers..
pathetic broken winged bird..

when it hurts the soul..
it nourishes the mind..
and it feeds the body..

extreme conditions froze the brain..
the continual ebbing of the tide..
the constant movement from day to night..

a low growl from far far away..
the thunder bellowed after the lightning..
a sight to match the dreary ones she saw..

the snow had hardened her soul..
the sun had dehydrated her body..
the sea had carried her far far away..

like the phoenix rising from the ashes..
behold the fury of the fiery tempest..
gaining strength from the first taste of oxygen..

Baby

she had a beautiful little boy that dawn..
from her recollection, he was only two days new..
she held him lovingly against her heart..
and cooed gently to him - her bundle of joy..

humming a sweet lullaby of love and hope..
wishing he'll grow up with those in scope..
an amused chuckle brightened her face..
the tired days will soon fade away..

"Listen now, my baby boy..
For Mommy has so much to tell..
To teach you of strength and not feel weak..
To hold and fear not, for Mommy will allow nothing to prick.."

her baby gazed with his wonderous eyes..
his magical thought bubbles drifted off..
breathing his Mommy's lingering sighs..
the world seemed a whirl of color to design..

Baby laughed for a moment or two..
Mommy knew he understood..
Baby yawned for the world can wait..
Mommy and Baby lay in warm embrace..
