Rain

tears from the skies above..
splashing down on her with all their might..
teasing her with their tremendous flight..

crying yet laughing at the same time..
these tears are probably those of mixed emotions..
joy and sorrow rolled into one body of substance..

the sun is suppose to be out today..
she wants to see it emerge from beneath the damp clouds..
"Rain, rain.. go away.. come again another day.."

the grey fog it brings along..
the surreal calm before it's all bright and dandy..
the blanket to skive under from all mundane daily activities..

she enjoys the rain..
on a hot summer's day..
cooling off the sweat on her skin..

she loves the rain..
cuddling warm under her pink covers and pillows..
listening to the comforting resonance outside..

a crazy thought to chase after thunderstorms..
follow them through different countrysides..
racing madly against time and typhoons..

the energy derived from merely combining chemistry..
creating magnificent lightning sparks..
it's funny seeing fat cows fly..

she hates the rain today..
the way it makes her fume with frustration..
the never-ending noise it makes outside her windows..

she's mad at the rain today..
her friends are complaining and she's stomping her feet..
they were suppose to go to the beach already..

The strangest mix-up

she surprises with each sudden frown..
each sudden smile..
each unexpected word..

those thoughts in her head..
strange as it may seem..
but totally honest like many white lies..

she wants things done her way..
but often suppresses it..
more stubborn than a mule..

keep those ideas under control..
no matter how hard it is..
she won't know till she tries..

torn and shattered..
the pieces of glorious dreams fall back to earth..
a mixture of the milky way and twinkly dust..

the heavens are going to be dark tonight..
the stars had hid themselves from her wrath..
the same angst appearing once again from a time so long ago..

singing while treading carefully on a tight rope..
her feet gingerly feeling for the next move..
she stretches out her hand for better balance..

a green fly lands on her palm..
she crushes it lightly..
enjoying the wet texture between her fingers..

a walking contradiction..
an unspoken irony..
the greatest mistake created..

Stitched lips

"I have no more words.."

with a needle in her nimble fingers..
she began to prick the sharpness through her softness..

first stitch to bind all thoughts..
second stitch to keep in all words..
third stitch to seal her lips forever..

sew it tight..
comments can be made no longer..
press the wire down hard..
no point in having lips that cannot express..

this hurts really bad..
stop crying for no one sees..
the stitches are not a pretty sight..
keep it away from the newborn's eyes..
she will hence learn to speak of love and truth..

to let out how she really feels..
the little puppy who fetches the paper each morning..
the voice within is screaming to get free..
don't stare at her with all these harshness..

brutality marks across what was left of her red lips..
ugly wires going in and out of her torn skin..
shut your eyes so no one sees..

the wounds seem really horrid..
please give her some bandages..

"...but, I need to speak.."

The still-learning process

the tales slowly drifted away with the crashing waves..
stories spoken from trembling parted lips..
taking a deep breath of air..
she plunged and dove down into the depths of the sea..

her tears merged with the salty taste of life..
causing the ocean to feel for her frail body..
stronger and faster she kicked..
and deeper and deeper she went..

the words burned and ripped..
her flesh bled a bright red..
"Do unto others, what you want others to do unto you.."
she had hurt too many people in her life..

one by one..
the visions of sorrow appeared in front of her face..
now swollen with an abundance of moisture..
the regrets starting sinking in slowly and painfully..

"I've learnt enough in this lifetime.."
a mouthful of air fled from her lips..
"I'm tired and slumber has come knocking on my door.."
the last shimmer of life seeped through her veins..

darkness engulfed the sinking body..
lower and lower..
slower and slower..
and time came to a standstill..
